The A+A Congress is like almost no other event. It offers you an opportunity to present your expertise to a highly qualified audience. We therefore invite you to showcase your solutions, transferable experience from the field or up-to-date results of research and development and their implementation. By submitting a specialist paper, you can take advantage of the opportunity to engage in a close exchange of experience and opinion and play a part in shaping future developments. EU-OSHA has recently completed the preparation of the second
European Survey of Enterprises on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER). The survey provides insights into how risks at work are dealt with across Europe. The second survey has been extended to cover micro-enterprises and the agricultural sector.
The first set of results, from over 30 countries, is expected towards the end of 2014.
A further topic addressed by the Agency is the anticipation of emerging risks to safety and health in ‘green jobs’. The intention
here is to ensure that ‘green’ workplaces safeguard not only the environment, but also the safety and health of their employees.
We have carried out a prospective study in which possible future scenarios take into consideration developments in green technologies under a range of economic and social conditions.
One of the most important influences on the world of work is exerted by the demographic shift in Europe, particularly the ageing population. Our large-scale project ‘Safer and healthier work at any age – occupational safety and health (OSH) in the context of an ageing workforce’ aims to improve knowledge of strategies and programmes, encourage the sharing of good practice and further promote methods for improving health protection and the safety of older employees.
The Congress Committee looks forward to receiving your submissions.
